"Years ago, the Kern County Clerk's office had a small chapel where couples could have civil ceremonies. As our city grew, that option disappeared. I remember getting married there as a young bride—pregnant and eager to make it official. It was quick and impersonal, with little to no charm.

A ‘wham, bam, thank you, ma'am’ kind of experience.

Years later, a close friend asked me to be a witness at her wedding. She needed something fast and affordable, so she booked a venue based on the price. I was shocked to find it was a cramped space behind a tax office, surrounded by dusty boxes. Standing there, I couldn’t help but think,

That memory stayed with me, and now, here we are with Short & Sweet Ceremony.

With this respect, I will thoughtfully incorporate your beliefs into your ceremony, creating a meaningful experience within the time we have together.

I believe that love is universal and that all individuals of legal age have the right to marry the person they love, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or background.
